I'm running into an issue of organization for my TLX tiles. Right now they're just in an Ikea Trofast bin (I constructed a huge wooden rack that holds up to 66 Trofast bins), mostly on their edges. The problem is even if I can locate the tiles I want for putting together a given encounter, when it comes time to put the tiles away again, the remaining tiles in the bin are all over the place due to the extra space after removing some tiles. So I have to take them ALL out, sort them by typed/pattern, and put them ALL back in. Every time. I looked into a couple organization options. My first idea was to shove bamboo skewers through some link tabs, attach the skewers to foamcore rails, and then slot the tiles onto the tabs which are attached to the rails. Then I realized this is a huge amount of work, and putting tiles away by slotting them onto tabs isn't going to be trivial. Next I considered going to a Value Village or similar and picking up some old CD racks, and slotting the tiles in there. Sadly, after looking up the dimensions of CD jewel cases, they're smaller along each side than a 6" tile, and thicker than 1/4". This doesn't totally rule out their use for the purpose, depending on the type of CD rack, but it's not ideal. Especially for 3"x3" tiles. What do you use for quick/easy storage/organization of your TLX tiles? |

Are you aware of the TLX Storage Boxes right here from WWG? They build up to a slightly larger than 6x6 open top box to store and organize your parts, including the terrain 'floors'. They are available in a handfull of themes with the bonus that they can sit at the edge of your terrain as a 'boundary' building. There are indtruciton on creating 'dividers' Available in the Fan Kitbash Section of the catalog, there are textured themes for Himmelveil, LotDG, Thoumonts and Titan variants. |

Here are boxes available right now (I may have missed one or two): http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/in ... product=22 http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/in ... product=10 http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/in ... roduct=186 http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/in ... roduct=149 http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/in ... roduct=181 That being said, I use mainly plastic containers and shoeboxes to store my stuff. I do have some terrain boxes that I built, but I find that I prefer storing all of a set in one or two boxes that don't sit on the table during the game. |

and the TLX boxes can be used as additional Terrain Pieces. I use a combination of TLX boxes and shoeboxes. I go through a pair of running shoes every three months, and the tiles stand up nicely in them. I make dividers to keep the different sizes apart, and use one shoe box for each TLX set. |
