After trying to do one small wall section I gave up on the cutting and decided to take the easy way out. I spent a couple of hours making sure everything fit into nice squares. Then laid out the map to size on in design, then split it into sections that would fit into 11x17 pages cut and glued into 12"x12" cut foamcore tiles. This is where I am at so far. Still missing a lower wall connecting to the high one and haven't started on the buildings yet. Gong to put a "Guild" office in the middle there. (This is for Malifaux) Being way too lazy to actually cut each railing I just photoshoped some texture in between banisters. It looses quite a bit of the effect/charm but saves quite a bit on cutting time. |

I'm looking forward to seeing more - I really like how these foamcore builds end up looking. |

Figuring out how to keep the damn walls from collapsing while gluing gave me a headache at first but once I figured out a mechanic for it things are moving along quickly. I know I am going to have another headache on my hands once I start doing interiors to houses but I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it. Here was the solution I ended up using. (walkways are cut on both sides to make up for the thickness of the foamcore) Putting pressure on the inverted Ts at the bottom and the road on top will keep the pieces straight, I just plopped my primer and spraymount cans on either side to hold it and just put a dab of glue on each side. Then I remove the road, reinforce the glue and glue in the actual road way. This walkaway is not going to be very modular due to lack of planning ahead of time. But I think with some building experience under the belt I can think these things out better before starting out. |

Some progress. Got a game down on the actual terrain on saturday. Started on the first building that will go on the middle. Thinking of making it a Guild Office building or the like. Beginning of the first building: |
