It's actually looking like I'll be able to play a couple of mini games, 40k and a Necromunda revamp (Inquisimunda). The 40k game I'll probably be supplying the scenery, and I'd like it to be able to work for Necromunda also.
With that in mind I've finally starting to build something and have a few questions. I think I've settled on a combination of Titan: Streets and Necroblock (maybe throw together a couple of Podtels too) but I am open to other suggested kits. I have Sector Sigma but I felt like the slime rivers won't really work in 40k.
First, is just a spacing issue. Will using 3 inch alleys between the Necroblock towers be too tight to get minis between them?
Second, can I build multiple stories without walls? So just a post and platform kind of build, similar to some of the stuff from Platform Command.
On the topic of Platform Command, I know the structures are not really collapsable but has any one tried building them so the can be broken down for storage?
Finally, I'm using Epson Premium Matte Presentation for printing and have 3/16 foam board. I don't think my printer (Epson NX420) can handle 110lb card stock (it struggles with the Presentation). Should I just use paper for the TLX templates? I had thought about gluing the card stock on then paper templates to push them closer to 1/4.
I'm sure I'll have more later, but that will at least get me started. Provided I can settle on which sets to use.

I have a few different answers than the above gentleman. I used Titan and Sector Sigma to build a board for TempleCon this year in Rhode Island (You can see that here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12381).
1) I found that the 3" hallways were actually not that bad. However, I did not add a second story, so the taller you build your walls the harder this might be. We used lots of single miniatures and small squads of 4-8 miniatures. So I don't know how bad a mob of 30 would be.
2) I would be very skeptical of only posts for multiple stories. You may want to look into the Titan Archways, that might help you out. It'd allow you to build something that doesn't block line of sight, but will still provide some stability to keep your build from falling over. Playing around with the Deadfall sets, I find it hard to keep the levels on top of each other. I'm thinking of experimenting with Hob-E-Tac to make some spots sticky to keep the floors down. Hob-E-Tac is made by Woodland Scenics, it's the stuff they recommend you use to build their trees.
Please, if someone reads the above paragraph and says "What an idiot, all he has to do is X", please let me know what that is. I don't see anything that "anchors" the additional floors so they don't slide around, or even fall off if bumped hard enough.
I don't have any experience with Platform Command, and I only use 110 lbs Card Stock. So I'm not going to be useful for your other questions, sorry man.

Re 1: I assumed that since he talked about "Necroblock Towers", he would use 4 story structures on both sides of the alley. single-story buildings will obviously be now problem.
Re 2: It's true that a tower made only of supports will be unstable and probably not straight. It IS possible, however I suggest doing a permanent structure insted.

While working on a TLX version of CastleWorks, Denny (I think it was Denny) gave me the idea to put TLX anchors on the bottom of my catwalks so they could slot into the posts. This really helped with stability, but of course it was only a 1-square wide platform. Still, it might help with the larger tiles, too, and it's easy enough to try.
Thanks for the responses. I did see your Titan build pics, not quite what I was thinking but a great looking build. Since I just moved back to Nee England (CT) I'll have to look into Templecon next year. The three inches would probably be a problem with Necroblock as IIRC each building level is 6 inches and I don't have the steadiest hands. It might still work for the Necromunda game, small bands of independent warriors. But I'll chiefly be hosting 40k initially and probably playing Nids so I'll need room for my swarms.
I was looking to recreate feel of the terrain that was included in the Necromunda boxed set ages ago for providing an extra set of terrain that I could transport. Some of the arches could work, barring that I was thinking of cutting down some walls to make buttresses of sorts.
I think I changed my mind on the sets I'm going to use though. To provide the space 40k will need I snagged Streets of Blood and Deadmans Canyon. Big desert canyons with some of the stuff from Ebbles line (Field Camp, Shahad Ziggarut, etc) should be good for 40k. When I start working on expanding to include the other game I think I'll tinker with the color of the Mars Station canyons to add some variety. Then I can include buildings made from Sector Sigma, Titan, and Mars Station.
