I have taken some TLX tiles and converted them to a "2.5D" style to provide extra detail on the table. You can do this with walls, too; for instance, making the woodpile from the Friar set raised on craft foam. Here, the planters have been raised up with foamboard: I'm looking at the sewers set and thinking about the channels of sludge. Does it make more sense that the channels are just walls around a trough that is in the floor (as in the right side of this tile), or that the channels are entirely elevated "tanks" (as in the left side)? I kind of like it both ways and can't decide. |

I have always thought of thw stone being raised above the sewage. So, the cobblestone being higher than the "water." |

I think the 1 on the right gives a nicer look, but is a bit more work. |

I am LIKING this There are two tiny cutouts on the bottom of the wall to accommodate the raised sewer walls. |

These are looking awesome, however the engineer in me can't get past the following essential characteristics of sewers and drains: - the sludge channel would be below the level of the floor - there would be no lip between the floor and the sludge - that way any overflow will always drain back into the channel If it's something like an aquaduct or chemicals flowing in a lab/factory, then the raised lips along he channels are ideal. But for sewers and drains the channel would be below the level of the floor. |

Take it up with the set designer if you look at the tiles, the walls around the channels clearly cast a shadow on the floor as well as the sludge. They're raised above the floor. I could use craft foam for a lower wall, but it's a fantasy world. Maybe their engineering is different. |
