Hey all, Been eyeing the stuff from WWG for awhile and finally decided to take the dip. I started with Thourmonts, because let's face it- those images of entire towns are too good to pass up! Anyway, getting started took a larger time investment than I anticipated, but I am very happy with the results. I wanted to share a few photos now and in the future as I continue to build up and out ![]() Note: This construction was hasty as I was excited to construct a result but didn't have all the 'proper' pieces yet. This is especially apparently on the roof and trusses, which are the ones for connecting roofs (as evidenced by the door). Some of the walls are 'interior' walls as well. Making the proper pieces soon ![]() Aside from starting small, do you guys have any suggestions for starting buildings with Thourmonts?

Great start! Thanks for sharing! Pro tip 1: Make sure to edge your pieces with a marker to get rid of the white edges that stand out so much. Some prefer to do this in black or grey for all their pieces, others prefer to try and color match the piece itself. Pro tip 2: Start small (like you have done) and build more as you go. Each piece will add to your build options and exponentially increase what you can do. |

Yay Thoumont's pics! Talae's words of wisdom are, well, wise. I will add to that the thought that building to solve a NEED is a lot better than building just to build. I usually find myself doing the latter, which means I often spend a lot of time just building stuff I don't use. Instead, by planning out an encounter location, I can really build what is necessary, and I can actually see something getting accomplished. That's much better than ending up with a pile of "what do I do with all THIS?" ![]() Best of luck and keep us updated with your progress! |

Might I add, you should build at least one piece of everything from the set. And make sure you thoroughly read the TLX PDF guide! From my somewhat newish experiences with TLX, not everything was clear as to what it was or how it functioned. That way you can see and try all of the pieces and understand all of the options available to you. |

hey guys, thanks for the encouragement and advice! I'll be edging the pieces, this was just an impatient 'pre edging' photo. I'll keep updated with what I'm working on:) |

Excellent! You should post some project pics. I find they help me keep momentum up, and we get to see what you are up to. |
