I need to scale everything to 54mm miniature scale. I am planning on buy a inkjet printer capable handling 13" x 19" 80lb Coverstock. The only issue I still have is fitting everything on the paper. If I cut and paste the images from the PDF files into Microsoft Paint or GIMP, how do I ensure that everything stays at 200% scale? Can someone please explain? Thank you. |

This is how I would do it, without skipping any steps. Set up a new GIMP or Photoshop file to the correct page size you are printing. After importing the original page file, select the image area with the scaling function and double the size. Rearrange the parts on the page, minding the border areas where the printer won't print. Some parts may have to be placed on a different new page. If a single part is bigger than your new page size, you will have to split it into two parts (or more). Either draw a glue tab onto the new artwork, or remember to cut ones after you print. In either case, after you're finished with your arrangements, save each page of your work as a separate new pdf page. Now you a have a new permanent page with the parts at the new correct size so you can print as many as you need - and it will be the correct size. |
