Ok last night I attempted to cut some boards using a metal ruler and a xacto knife to make a long story short... i suck I swear to god I put them one next to the other and no two are 100% alike!!! :::head desk::: advice? anyone? god what I would do for precut boards |

I take a metal ruler and do light cuts repeatedly- at first just a score, then a little more pressure each time. Maybe 3 or 4 quick cuts total. No need to move the ruler, even. Nice clean lines as far as I have gone. If you use too much pressure the foam under the paper can bunch up which is where those jagged edges come from. |
