Actually there aren't empty sockets visible. The socket are covered by a swinging flap. Heres a pic of a stacked build: |

Thanks for posting that LD2062, so I guess you pretty much need a floor in there (for support?) to get good multi story buildings? I wasn't sure based on the pictures as they are all kind of side on. I was kind of hoping for a way to do a "hollywood flat"..., Which I guess could be done somewhat sturdy by using the ones with a wedge support to give underside support from one bellow and then maybe a "Straw" pencil or something like that inside the corner boxes to keep them standing straight, but then they would be off. Simplest may just be to use the "halls" 3x6 floors and use those to make thin buildings on the edge, so no real Hollywood flats. |

Not yet - that was a practice run using Thoumont's for the textures. A proof of concept build. Among other things the TLX system will mean that niche buildings will be a whole lot more appealing - not just for the props, but for walls and pillars that can be used in other builds - Thoumont's Magic Shop makes a good inn, doesn't it? 
Trust me, folks will be all over a half timber set when it comes out! The Auld Grump |

Ya, I'll pretty much buy anything. I'm using it for Star Wars... so you can easily take any setting and say it's some planet. My biggest issue I see thought is I also play with my son. He's only 8, but he has autisum. He loves playing miniature. I know I'm in the minority probably but having skeletons everywhere and horse droppings (more concerned about the silliness factor I'll get for him if he notices they arn't rocks) on every tile can be a little inapproprate for him. That's why I liked the pic above. Simple, plain, yet looks really nice. I know I've mentioned this on other threads but this is one of the reasons I'd like to see these PDFs come out as layered PDFs. We can pick and choose which features we'd like to be displayed. Also this would allow one basic tile or wall to become 10s or 100s of different tiles or walls depending on the options. |

I think that the WWG crew is trying to avoid using layers - it puts a slight limit on which versions of Reader can be used (though I don't think that is too big an issue now), and more importantly bloats the size of the files - there are still folks downloading World Works purchases over dial up connections. Well I'm not sure how hard it would be to make both, but they could do a standard one for 12$ and a layered one for more. I would pay more for the extra functionality. Don't get me wrong, these are awesome products... I just couldn't believe almost every 6x6 tile for sewers had a skeleton on it... seemed a little much |

There is also the issue about the Machine cutter - the layout is tied to that too. Placing two support walls on one page would not fit in the guide of the cutter. This may not be important to most at the moment but there is a growing core of users that it has become a feature that couldn't be done away with. Also the cutters are falling in price - going from late $200US down to $130US within a 12 month period. What will it be sitting at with-in a year? Layers also make the files clunky to shift on the system, more often than not. If the machine running the file isn't a modern beast a goodly amount of lag can occur. As for the pile of bones on the tiles - booster will address that. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |
