After repeatedly not finding 1/4" thick foam (at a reasonable price - yes Dickblick has them for almost $20/sheet + s/h), is it possible for WWG to release a GSD file set (so Generic Big Floors, Hallways, Small Floors, etc.) with a 3/16" cut instead of the 1/4" cut, to make them fit the much more easily found Foam core and fit better with the tiles it cuts. These would be of course compatible with all the sets (as the beauty of generic files). And they could sell it for a $1.00 which I know I would buy. Thoughts? |

I'd just like to point out that I'm seriously on the fence about TLX, entirely to do with a lack of support for 3/16" foamcore, which is the only thickness I can find. An alternate scoreline for 3/16" would be a godsend and push me over the edge to full-on fanboy mode. |

If you use a robo to cut, there is no perception about it, it is fact. You end up with a score line that doesn't line up with the height of the foamcore and getting it to fold at 3/16" is impossible. Not to mention the slot flap that is too tall. Yup, 3/16" compatible, just like CWU is 1" compatible. ![]() |

Hi all. I'm a total newb; this is my first post. I just bought my first TLX set last night and I'm totally geeked about building my miniature empire. Worldworks' products are just miles ahead of all the other papercraft terrain out there. Thank you! I did my first TLX tile this morning using 3/16" foam core. The 1/16" discrepancy caused me some confusion. As the glue was quickly drying, I didn't know if I should pull the flaps snug (causing them to overlap unsatisfactorily), or try to align the flaps together (and leave empty space inside the cardstock along the edges of the tile). The instructions didn't address this. Either choice seemed sloppy; I was frustrated. The 80 degree cuts also caused some bunching of the cardstock at the lower corners because the top of the tile is larger than it's bottom. I pulled the flaps snug along the sloped sides of the foamcore and this caused the flaps to overlap on the bottom even more. Now that I know what to expect, I plan to modify my cuts and scores, but I wish the PDF had multiple layers (like the fat dragon products) that would allow me to choose 3/16" or 1/4" foamcore guide lines.
