First of all I like the TLX system, but on the first looks I feared the unused (flat) anchors on the board could be an annoyance for me, being a bit of a perfectionist. I am happy that I found this point irrelevant on my first builds.

BUT looking into the first small floor build I had to notice that the anchors didn't have a matching color pattern, leaving the "cracks" of the hall out. This is not the case for the big floors, so I wondered if this is just bothering me or it was already finxed and I didn't find the right thread.

Keep up the good work, I just had to buy Thoumonts

I don't understand what you mean. All the floors in the core set (with the obvious exception of the forge) are the same colour.

I guess what he means (because I noticed it too) is this:

Building the 6x6" floors, you'll notice that the anchors all fit perfectly. For each anchor, there is the one spot where it corresponds exactly with the texture on the tile, the cracks that run over that texture and with the gridlines on it.

Now, with 6x3" and 3x3" floors, the first thing you notice is that the cracks that are on the floor tile are not repeated on the anchors. Also, some of the anchors do not fit the texture of the tile they came with as well as the 6x6" ones did.

I don't mind it much. They fit well enough and once you have a full setup on the table, it's so darn stunning I'm pretty sure nobody will even notice a small detail like that.

I was just so blown away from this wonderful set and the possibilities that this made me wonder. I first thought I made a mistake and used the wrong anchors.

Ah, I understand now. Perhaps I can explain: as we make progress through the development of TLX we continue to refine both the product and the process and it as part of that refinement that we got to the "exact anchors" versus "generic anchors" issue. LHDK went through several versions of anchors in this development process and several sets of anchors were made, mulled over and ultimately discarded.

The end result is that the halls and 3" floors (which wre developed earlier on) tend to have more generic anchors and the 6" rooms (by necessity) more specific ones. Just one of a thousand quirky, behind-the-scenes decisions.

But I can appreciate how it might tweak the perfectionist in you Dicetimo.
