It does not work that well, I tried it right away during the BETA phase. The tiles rip easier trying to fit the Linx tabs in, having the anchors on both sides can cause problems if one is just slightly thicker or taller than the others (due to glue, different card stock, any reason), the edge of the tile would be different from one to the other, so you would have a sewer tile with street edging or visa-versa. It would have been really nice and saved a lot of time, money, and materials but it is just not practical. |

An addendum of sorts - this actually works very well with 'Speed Mount' boards - where the tiles are glued to a single big piece of foamcore instead of individual tiles. My town square board (5x5) is a cross roads on the obverse. The big boards don't shift much, anyway, so you don't have to worry much about putting slots in the edges. The Auld Grump |

I've thought of using a speed mount tile or two. Especially with the circular sewer room, or maybe a parking lot for Mayhem. |

OK, I've tried it and can make it work, but as posted above, its really not worth the effort. I'm back to regular onesided tiles, and plan to stay there. |

What about using the back for plain tiles without anchors? There are definitely places where plain tiles are all that's needed and this would be an easy way to create them (not to mention saving on time, materials and storage). |
