I posted these before, but apparently people want to pretend they don't exist. These are photos of 3/8 inch foamcore TLX tiles, assembled 100% in accordance with the TLX spec. No modifications, no adjustments. IT JUST WORKS as it's designed to work. One 3x6 tile, on my cutting mat, to show it's sized exactly as it should be, and the back flaps are all nicely mitred and lying flat, as they should be. The front of the tile: The side of the tile: Two tiles, side by side, flush against each other: Now, the real beauty of the TLX system. Even though this is built using 3/8 foamcore, these next two photos show that, because the sides are scored to be 1/4 inch, they actually measure 1/4 inch. There *is* no problem with the system. It works, as designed. |

I have about half my tiles made that way. I just found it is a little quicker and easier to reverse score for a flat glue point and flat sides. Less work for me that way. I just posted my solution for those that still have trouble getting it perfect as designed. I never did see your post on this before. I do see in the last photo the slight curve of the flap that was annoying me when I glued it. It's a personal thing, i guess. |

sunraven01: I changed the tile to better reflect the intent of the post. |
