There are white spots on the tiles where the anchors go. The anchors actual blend in nicely with the tiles. If you need a fwe tiles with out anchors most of the sets also have tiles with out anchor points. So you see not need to ever remove anchors. If you need a post someplace were there is not an anchor you can use the the atni warp walls to keep the post in place. Where did you get the idea you did not need to glue every anchor? Just curious about that, as the point of an anchor is to make a stable point to "grow" walls from. Both the paper anchors and the magnetic ideas create that strong point. Personally, I like the paper anchor as the make a very good way to lock the tiles together, were as the magnets really don't. |

I Rarely, to the point of only once have ever used totally free standing posts. The posts really help to lock a board together, the three story "outer walls" on the bellow build were flimsy and prone to falling apart untill posts were added at every joint between the floor tiles and it made the model stable and sturdy. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c5/Gh ... G_1213.jpg Posts just tend to tighten the build up, and yeah I didn't have them in the middle sections (the inner 3x6 floor) but just raising the tabs up in those areas helped to straighted and stiffen the walls. The anchors and posts have stability uses beyond just supporting the walls. and in the above picture all of the floor tiles have anchor tabs and while they are visible, I don't think they distract from the build. |
