Does anyone have a good TLX-compatible fence or stone wall pattern? I started playing around last night (loving my robo cutter) making some risers to I could have a cheap way of varying terrain height. I ended up turning what I had into a fence: My kids and I use LEGO minifigures for all of our monsters and players, and the height works out well: I am terrible with textures, so before I try to become 'adequate', I thought I'd stop and see if someone's already been down this path. |

Hey mproteau: I have some high quality wood textures if you have a digital version of those fences and want to make it look like wood. Let me know/send me a PM if you do. |

Qpony - thanks for the wood textures. It dawned on me that Thoumont's has great wood textures on the walls, and with a little cutting, they'd look a lot like fence posts! I still have a lot of refining to do on the process of drawing in GIMP to making PDFs and GSDs, but I was able to put together my first textured fence and cut it out on my silhouette this evening: They fit nice and snug on the tabs. I've only made 3" versions so far, hoping they'd be good enough to put end-to-end for a 6" run, but it looks like I might come up with a 6" design that fits over the corner tabs and the middle tabs. Still, so far so good. I'm going to try making some stone walls tonight. Once I get a couple styles done, I'll stop taking pictures in the dark with my phone and try to have something nice to show! This process has given me even more respect for the great stuff WWG produces! I'm envious of your skills! |
