Post subject: | Question about anchors |
I'm just curious about the durability of the anchors over time. Obviously, since they're made of paper, folding them up and down over and over again is eventually going to wear them out (or so I would think). So my question is: Do people find themselves replacing anchors often? |

I've found this whole thing to be more durable than I'd ever expected. |

I've decided to put a sheet of kitchen parchment paper between each tile when I store them. I thought it could help prevent the "slide-and-rip" effect of 2 tiles catching against each other's anchors. Hopefully it will help a little ![]() |

Superglue is definitely the way to go on anchors (if you're worried about them dislocating over time). I know a few builders go that route. |

I have started using the UHU twist n glue. I also keep a tube of super glue at the table just in case I need it mid-game (which is rare, as it is usually during assembly/disassembly). |

I used to use the UHU twist n glue for small stuff, but now use Aileene's tacky glue, it's a lower content than the UHU stuff and still gives a great bond. As for anchors, mine have been fine. In fact the whole TLX system is much more sturdy than you'd expect it to be ![]() |
