Well, it depends what sets you get as to what type of foamcore you need and how you mount to it. I reccommend TLX (TerrainLinx) sets because they are completely modular. That would help with your modularity concerns as well. As far as glue goes, I use Aileene's Tacky Glue and Elmer's Glue Sticks for most things. |

One more thought... I know you are going to print on normal paper... You probably want to use cardstock not the standard 20lbs sheets of paper. That standard paper is just too floppy hold up to metal minis sitting on space. And the walls will not be straight or hold up upper floors well. |

Thanks for the feedback. I thik maybe i didnt explain myself very well lol. Im not just planning on doing the base tiles in foamcore, but in fact doing all the walls, floors, ramps etc in foamcore. So Models shouldn't pose a problem unless you start messing with old metal dreadnoughts and the like which i dont intend on doing. Have become a pure Malifaux gamer. CapnG thats cool, seems there are a lot of 'ex-norfolk' gamer types but not many left actually in Norfolk. Especially in the heights of the north Norfolk coast. Thanks for the comment about glue sticks. I may give Pitt stick a go as its gonna be cheaper than multiple cans of spray glue. Pritt stick, the non sticky, sticky stuff. |

a question that has come up is over the srgb vs adobe rgb colour setting. Does this make any difference? has anyone tried it. I double checked all other settings and they match whats suggested in the instructions and i choose print to plain paper and not any of the other 'material types'. |

Well i have fiddled about with all sorts of settings but cant lighten the print outs. Its not a problem though as it still looks good. So had some fun and downloaded the planner. A couple of hours later and my first 3x3ft board is planned out. Just a clarification. If you are making more than one level of terrain. Do you use the 'normal' floor tiles and floor tile assembly process to make the floors for the next level up?? |
