Thanks Akmor, you work is very much appreciated.  Edit: Would it be possible at some time to get a larger preview of textures? I know we can zoom to see the tile textures on the board but I'd like to see a larger preview of the textures that are not stretched, also a larger preview of wall textures would be nice, perhaps by clicking the texture in the texture preview window to open a bigger preview window?? |

Not sure about the technicalities but we could probably figure out a way to do slightly larger thumbnails. I mean they still wouldn't be useable for printouts but they'd be big enough to see details on the walls and whatnot. |

Perhaps display them at some sort of perspective angle? We get to see a larger image but the perspective wouldn't make it a full on image. |

The problem will then be that the wall texture are not consistent with tile texture in term of size (the norm is : 6 inch is 96 pixels), which may cause some problems here and there... |

There is a middle ground between what we have now and "Hey, why bother buying the set I can just screenshot these!" I was trying to update my collection to include the 1" walls from the Dwarven Halls and honestly I could not make out on screen what the different walls were. The collection tool is awesome sauce otherwise, though, and I love being able to zoom in on the build now! This tool just keeps getting better and better and I really couldn't build without it now. |

I'm not actually saying that I disagree. It's just that for some internal programmatic reasons that would seem very obscure if I tried to explain them, it's not that easy to do. It's not what will stop me from trying, mind you

If I may, allow me to demonstrate the issue. full size screenshot is what the planner looks like on my 27" monitor. is what it's like trying to update my collection, with the 1" walls from the Dwarven set. It's impossible to tell those walls apart. I have all this screen real estate, and no way to make use of it. Each one of those wall graphics, on my screen, is less than a quarter of an inch wide. They're about 4 mm wide. That's my problem. I don't know what kind of monitor you're doing your development on, but on my screen ... it's tiiiiiiny. |

I have a 24" screen and can maximize the planner to full screen, that's on a PC though. |

That's not the issue. The collection window can't be resized. At all. EDITED TO ADD: And even if you could resize it, the graphics themselves would not dynamically resize, so they'd still be a whole 4mm wide in a 27" screen. |

So.... back to my question : do we upsacle all graphics, or some only ? Do we upscale every where, or only on the texture preview (and in user collection window, I had forgotten that one...) ? I would go for upscaling all wall textures (no tiles) but only on the user collection and in the texture preview, but not on the model set buttons part on the left, but that's my point of view... Why not the tiles ? because they get used on the map, and having to rescale them 'on the fly' to fit the map would be a hell ! |
