(This might be in the wrong forum - please move if it is) I have bought into Dropzone Commander from Hawk Wargames and, naturally, turned to WWG for a gaming table WWG don't do 10mm, but I understand from the scaling thread a 40% reduction or thereabouts will do the job. I will be going with 42%, as that reduces 6" tiles to 2.5" almost exactly. I have bought Mayhem Streets of Legend, and am planning a slightly modular layout (if "I am planning" makes you want to stop reading, I do have a track record of actually completing these builds - ). The modular layout will be four square base-boards of 22.5" each. Each board will have a 90deg rotational symmetry so that I should have a lot of options despite only having four base-boards. The question is, what other sets would be worth looking at beyond Streets of Legend? Mayhem Services has scrubland and blended tiles, which are ideal. I have Streets of Titan for some futuristic looking bits. Anything else? I would prefer 6" base tiles, but since I am scaling I can probably work with other sets. Is there a transition set from Hinterland to Streets of Mayhem? Would be good to get an edge-of-town area in there if I can. (note: I don't need buildings, just ground tiles etc) |

Alright - quick update. I have 8 sheets of 22.5" square 3mm hardboard from B&Q (£5) and 36 sets of different 7.5" square PDFs for printing. Here is a sample: Once I get all 36 printed out, I will have my 45" square gaming board. I have made 6 buildings so far, but from looking at the rulebook I need around 18! |

In Dropzone Commander, troops can occupy buildings, fire from them, search for objectives within them, fight enemy troops and so on, so the terrain is really integral to the game. |

Update: Needs a few more buildings. I have five more to add, but I might make another four on top of that. I also have some n-scale trees on order, to make some parks. |

That's really nice. Only trouble is, I keep expecting Godzilla to rage onto the scene - damn genre mash |

It reminds me of Rampage. Mayby Hawk Wargames will release a giant gorilla that smashes buildings and eats the people inside |

Everytime I have an idea, I look the forum and... Sholto's done it!! It's excellent man you always make my preparation work easier, thanks for being the pioneer!!! I've opted for the more post-apocalytic look, so I'll print only some road tiles (the more damaged one) as I'll play on a grass board, and I'm gonna try and glue some flock on the buildings to see if I can get that "nature fights back" urban jungle feel. Thanks for being an amazing hobby experimenter! Cheers! T. |

Cheers, mate Here is the playable table. I ended up going with 25 buildings. I am waiting on the n-scale pedestrian bridge and the n-scale trees, and I have a collapsed motorway flyover in the works, but this is what we will be gaming on come Tuesday:- |

That is a nice density of buildings. Looks like a board that will keep things interesting. |

A brief update with a partially damaged motorway flyover. This is the first of two I am making for the table: |

You have really done some nice work. Many thanks for the scale mention, I have been requested to do some building for a n gauge railway and the 42% worked out fine. Cheers |
