Here's my sketch for a sewer idea. The left hand side has two sewage waterfalls with bridges connecting the walkways. The center area has a SEWER BOOSTER generator and waterwheel. The board is 3x3ft.

Ideas, input and suggestions on how to make it a cool Malifaux board are welcome. I plan on using only the HV SEWERS and the SEWER BOOSTER set.

OK so a quick clarification before I do this up in TLXP...on the left side....is your intent that the waterfalls have passageways under them, connected by bridges? Just testing my understanding.

And also....are you using a grid, and if so, what size?

OH! I didn't mean to ask someone to actually do up throw plans on the computer for me, but that's very generous. Could we post the plans for others to use also?

Does the rest of the map look good? I tried to have various zones to break up throw action a bit and block LOS. I wanted the pump machine to be the centerpiece.

I have never played Malifaux, but have played Warhammer-style games for 25 years. I'll add in some design elements as I go.

I haven't used the sludge falls for the Sewers, but I will figure out how they work. The bridges you have throughout...I can't seem to find them in the sewer pack, but they would be easy enough to bash up. In fact I could see making the bridges as 1"x2" pieces on foamcore that coudl be 'kicked' in the water to make it more difficult to cross.

Your ideas sound really great. Im excited to have your design help since I've never done a worldworks project. I hope to begin in October.

so, as I was designing this, I decided that this would be a lot like a Necromunda board. As it is a sewer...there wouldn't be a lot of wide open spaces....maybe some, but I see it more as large chambers, all interconnected, with different levels, and such for people to climb up on and shoot. Is there shooting in Malifaux? I would imagine so, as it reminds me a lot of any of the skirmish games from Games Workshop.

with the two 'towers' on one side of the board, it may be nice to put another 3 level tower somewhere else for them to fight for high ground. But this is a start...

Yes, there is shooting in Malifaux and I wanted open spaces separated by various LOS obstructions etc. It looks like you've got it right. Does the blueprint account for vertical surface textures too?

Will the two walkways overlooking the pump mechanism have up/down access? Will the sewer falls have walkways connecting the whole left side of the board?

The blueprints are for balconies...

And what if the water level was slowly rising ?

I like the rising water idea. I think Ill use that. Every few turns the water rises slightly. By mid-game you must be on the upper walks or balconies. Then toward the end the sewers could vent washing away anyone in the drink!

Or maybe if you Deactivate the pump, then it fills up.

These are essentially 3 different levels. The big board is your base board. The green squares and rectangles are posts. The yellow lines are walls. The blue things are balconies, and the purple dots are railings. This does not account for vertical texture. That's up to you to determine.

The balconies overlooking the pump mechanism are connected to the vertical "bridge" running fron the top of the board to the bottom. I think some of the walls have ladders printed on them, so you can place then where appropriate.

Could you also share the planner save file, so that zzzman74 (and others ) can play with the map ? (planner files are not allowed as is, you need to zip them to share...)
