I'd like to request a way to NOT snap objects to a grid. Since SHIFT-ARROW and SHIFT-CTRL-ARROW are taken, how about CTRL-ARROW? ALT-ARROW? For many things, snap to grid makes perfect sense, but for markers that can appear anywhere (like, a tree or a table) I think it makes sense to be able to forgo the alignment. |

I see the reason why you would like that, but that would cause a lot of problems, because rotation will no more be accurate, group selection with unsnapped objects will not move correctly, etc. That would require a complete new way of managing the objects, to allow a move/rotate to be based on only aligned objects, and then moving/rotating the unaligned ones accordingly. This would be a major change in the planner paradigm... |
