So it turns out 7x7 is a pretty damn huge pyramid. My CISS has a blue hue to it so I decided to take the in/outsides of the sloped walls and use it in a "shadow" kind of way. The darker side will be facing away from the players and I will be hanging and overhead spot light over the tables. Just one of those cheapies like you see in a garage or whatever with the metal shade around it to direct the light. Also, since they will all be butted up against walls and I don't intend any of them to have hidden passages or anything, I am not putting the backs and fronts together to give me more tiles to work with and you won't see the plain insides with the walls in the way. I am, however, now making it 5x5 not 7x7 and putting the 1 inch rock 3x6 tiles around as the borders for the slopes to sit on. I hope to have them playing a side view with the walls removed as opposed to opening up the entire layer for them to see into. Think of it like a horizontal fog of war where the end result is like a Jenga™ tower.
