I want to purchase the tlxplanner but I only have a phone. Is the planner android compatible? And if not someone please help me!!!!! :, ( lol. I'm ready to buy everything I need but I don't k ow exactly what I'm going to need for an all things zombie game. The board is going to be 5×3 but the thing is is that I want to use the older mayhem bank, police station, the streets of legend , apartments, under construction, and junkyard but I have no clue of how to make everything fit. Or how many "tiles" and I hear that the older mayhem sets aren't compatible with tlx? Someone please help me make sense of all this before I invest ![]() ![]() |

1) The planner is a java app, but I have no idea if it'll run on an android device. If I had to guess, I'd say 'no', but maybe Akmor can chime in. 2) It wouldn't help you all that much to plan out a board using the older tiles - you'd have to make your own tile sets for the older stuff. It only supports TLX sets (hence the name ![]() 3) The older sets are probably based on a 7" grid rather than a 6" grid, so the tiles will be larger. What TLX sets are you hoping to tie in with the older sets? There are plenty of ways to integrate TLX stuff into non-tlx environments. Here are some ideas: a) just plop the TLX building on top of the space you want. b) custom make some tiles that fill in the gaps. c) custom make some tlx tiles that are larger than 6", but still place the TLX anchors where they'll be TLX compatible. I'm sure there are other things you can do. Unless you're hoping to make a TLX building and a non-TLX building actually connect to each other, you can get by without a whole bunch of fancy planning. Just sketch out the first floor of each building, and make sure if it's a 6"-tile-based product or a 7"-tile-based product, you honor that. Then, if you're having trouble lining things up, use one of the methods above to fill in the gaps. Just some of my quick thoughts while waiting for some software to compile... |

Thanx for the info. I'm not trying to mix kits I just want to be able to plop them down on the same board. I just want to know if I can put them on the same board as I will be using the streets of legend. I want to put the bank, police station, and junkyard from the old mayhem and use the apartments, under construction and armoury from the new tlx. So the old tiles are 7" and tlx are 6"? Omg I wish I had a pc for the planner :/ I wouldn't know how to begin to start a layout let alone know what I'm going to need to print. Not knowing all this discourages me from taking the plunge. Anyone have a planner and can make me a layout using all the kits above and tell me what I need to print and how many ill be their best friend for life lolz!!!! Waiting for WWG to take my money lolz |

Just plop and have fun! They all look great and work together fine. If you are using the old 7x7 for the ground tiles, just have some extra 1" strips for sidewalk or whatever to fill in where the TLX buildings don't completely cover the base. |

As for Androïd compatibility, I have no idea. I don't own any Androïd device myself, so I can't test. I suppose it will not, because the planner uses mouse events (left click, right click, double clicks..., moving, dropping) to know what the user do. So, on a device without a mouse, I doubt it will work as is... Sorru for that. If I ever get an Androïd device, I may have a look, but this is not going to happen before long. |

Note that I made some custom walls for my apartment build, mostly just apartment-hallway walls but also some for the elevator. |

What he means is that he adjusted the textures on the wall pieces so he would have some specific types of walls that didn't appear in the published set. They'd be the standard shape/thickness, but with different graphics on them. If you're serious about doing a LOT of printing, there are ways to minimize cost... Some places sell ink cartridges cheap in bulk packs. Some places sell refill kits for the ink cartridges that let you reset the chips on them so the printer thinks they're new. I went with the continuous ink system (CIS) route, which lets me have large external ink tanks that continuously feed more ink into the printer. The CIS route is a little expensive up front, requires a little modification to the printer, and often (at least for me) needs to be fiddled with to keep running well. But, I think I've saved a ton on ink costs, at the expense of some labor. Have fun building! |
