Just purchased and am attempting to run the java planning program. It will not start Ive reinstalled my java. I will not re download as I am limited on how many times i can download a program I purchased? I think the problem is I am running windows 10 and the software has yet to be updated? I dont know how to request a refund. It would be great if I could receive some kind of support for this issue |

Which version of Java are you using ? What is the exact problem you encounter ? Could you try launching from a console, to see what errors may occur ? - in the Windows menu, search for "cmd" and launch this program - from the console, move to the directory where the planner is installed (cd c:\xxx\yyy) - launch from the console : java -jar TerrainLinXplanner.jar |

I don't have Windows 10 on my machine yet, is there a compatibility mode to Windows 10 like in other versions of Windows? I'd say to try that as well. I know the planner is written in Java but it could be an OS issue, even though it's not supposed to matter what OS is running! |

I vaguely recall that on my Windows 7 machine, I had to modify the PATH variable in the system settings to add the location of java.exe so Windows could find it properly when I opened the .jar file for the Planner. I think java has implemented something in its installers to automatically do that in more recent versions, but I could be wrong. |

so this is what i did. To quick solve the issue I made a shortcut with the following line cmd /c java -jar c:\tlx\TerrainlinX_planner.jar The shortcut can exist in any folder and as long as it point to the .jar it will open correctly and this is probably the solution to previous .Jars ive had problems with in 10 Runs fine now just has to have cmd window open as well if you close the cmd window jar quits |

Glad it worked. Normally, the program doesn't require java to be in any particular directory. It just uses it, wherever it is installed. As I don't have Windows10 myself, I can't test for compatibility issues. As long as we have a workaround, everything's fine! |

Did you, by chance, move around the files for the planner after unzipping it or something? That file you listed is part of the files for the planner. It should be in a Resources folder and that folder should be in the same location as the TerrainlinX_Planner.jar file that you use to launch the planner itself. Here's a pic of what mine looks like: |

One cause can be that you moved files without keeping the directory structure of the planner, as Ninevah pointed out. The other common cause can be that you launched the planner from within the zip file. The planner and all its files need to be unzipped to word correctly. |
