This is Mk. I of the layout - I will likely be cutting down on the number of freight elevators. The Auld Grump |

That's a big layout! The good thing about it is that there's a great diversity in tile types. If you build it, you'll have lots of options to play with on future layouts. Can't wait to show you guys the new tile planner we've got cooking! You're going to freak ![]() |

I am designing around three things - the first is a scenario for my Steamcraft game. The other two are Mordheim and WAR MACHINE, both of which are played on 4x4 tables. 4x4 seems to be the current standard for a lot of games. I have some hand sketched plans for a lower level, but that will wait. Which reminds me.... The Auld Grump |

Looks great! I'm glad I'm not the only one planning a 4'x4' table. I'm doing a Mordhiem style table as well but in 1.5" for my Mage Knight Dungeon figures. For the elevators I belive it was Something Below that had an elevator in it. |

Pretty much, though given my current speed on construction... sometime next year this will be done? Or, given that I expect this board to be the basis for most of the games for a while, I may do it Masterboard style, making a few larger than normal tiles that consist of 2x2, 2x4 or 4x4 tiles. The Market Square itself will fit on a 4x4 board. Makes for a lot less fiddling. I do plan to print a few of every tile that does not appear in this creation. It takes a lot of tiles to fill a 4x4 table, and for most purposes I actually prefer 8x4. I like big battles, which neither WARMACHINE nor Mordheim excel at. The Auld Grump |
