Hi, this is my first post so please tell me if I do something wrong... I'm having problems with the Tlinx planner only loading in four of the five sets of tiles. Streets, Sewers, Sewers Booster and Canals seem to appear just fine, but Lost Halls of the Dwarven Kings used to only show up a few times, and now it does not show up at all. I'm running Windows XP and use Java 6 As a side note I absolutely love WWG and think you guys do great work. |

Both are fixed and will be in the next update. The image save has been modified so that it will not put an extra .png in the file name if there's already one there. Needlessly long winded explanation follows: As far as adding the extra naming text on it, that's still in there. When a previous png is selected its full name is taken as what you'd like the prefix of the new png image to be. There's no way of telling which part of the name was the original prefix because the names of the tabs that the final image file names are based on can change. For example: You save an image with the name BlahBlah and two tabs are named layer_1 and layer_2 the names are as follows: BlahBlah_layer_1.png BlahBlah_layer_2.png While in the course of editing your layout you change the name of the first tab to "sewer" and the second tab to "surface". You go to save the image, click on "BlahBlah_layer_2.png" because you want to use the same prefix. The program tries to figure out the original prefix by comparing the chosen file name to existing tab names to to see where they occur to deduce what the desired prefix is. Since neither tab name is in the file name anymore, the program doesn't know what the prefix is, divides by zero and explodes (not really). There's probably a way to accomplish this, but it'd be needlessly complicated when the user could just input a new file name or select an old saved png and take off the excess text. |

(small) problem in the (updated) planner: Tools -> Option -> "Default Playing Area Width" is also used for "Default Playing Area Height", if you just exit and restart the planner. But my table is a rectangle, not a square 
But .. you can exit the program, edit config.cfg manually, restart, and have the correct, probably differing, values. for the record: WinXP, Java 1.6.0_19-b04 P.S. As this is my first post, I want to leave something positive, too!  I love your products and enjoy your very friendly, user-oriented attitude! You do a great job!

* Nature of the problem This seems like it would be a simple fix, but I could be wrong as I don't personally code in Java. Basically, the "Default Playing area width/Height" areas of the configuration area do not stay locked in once set and saved. I've tried exiting out and re-spawning the Terrainlinx Planner tool to see if this was perhaps something that wouldn't take until it was restarted, but the issue remained: the defaults keep going back to 6' x 6' regardless of what the values are manually changed to. Again, this isn't that big of a deal for me, as I've ended up setting this manually within the application, but it is sort of a shame to not have it working correctly. Everything else seems to be running fine (I only just bought this last week and have had a chance to try it out). On a side note, it would be nice in hindsight if the Terrainlinx Planner tool were listed in the "game aides" section of the online store instead of "Fantasy", as I would've never thought to look there to find it (I'm only interested in modern/sci-fi/cyberpunk type RPG's mainly). Considering that support is available for at least two genres of terrain, it would seem odd not to list it in a more general category in my opinion. * operating system Windows 7 (32bit) * Java version Version 6, Update 15 |

* Nature of the problem Basically, when using either the GUI-based copy command or the keyboard shortcut (in Windows, Ctrl+c), and nothing is selected, a user can still paste that empty item into the workarea; this should not be possible. A possible fix might be to make an exclusionary based code trap that would watch for empty selection sets (an ID that would equal 0, null or even a negative number could be used as a rule if this were a script) * operating system Windows 7 (32bit) * Java version Version 6, Update 15 |
