OK. I stole a few minutes and added a couple markers for some of the Thoumont's props to see how they would turn out. In fact, I attempted to make plans for the entire building I had put together. You can see all the images . I didn't spend *too* much time fiddling with the pieces, but I found that making the dark outline made a big difference. One observation I had was that it kind of stinks having all those white boxes where the anchors would be. I might try some evening to redo the tiles so that there aren't any white boxes, but instead there could be some more subtle indicator that there would be anchors there. Perhaps just a black outline of the anchors. I feel like this is much closer to what I want for planning encounters. I'm going to start looking at what kind of tinkering I can do with the balconies, walls, posts etc. |

That's a good suggestion - I had briefly considered it, but I haven't tried it yet. It'll make the display of the markers a bit messier... The panel that displays the markers can only be a certain width, and it always seems to show a fixed number of columns of markers. If the markers are too wide, you'll end up with horizontal scroll bars, making the messy organization of stuff even harder. If I start rotating some things, like the hedge, it'll just make the columns wider, making it that much more likely that I'll have to scroll horizontally to find stuff. If the TLX planner gods are listening tho, just keep the rotation thing in mind for markers and props. |

Hey, moderators, could we get mproteau's 2 other linked posts stickied? (or this one) This is some really handy information for some folks and I, for one, am horrible at trying to track down "that one cool post I saw a few months ago on the forums." |
