Hey Gang,

There's a planner update pending along with a few bug fixes but in the mean time we've decided to make the tile sets available for you prior to that general update. Thanks to the efforts of a very diligent beta crew (LDLD2062, Skrubkai) we have a few tile set updates for you. You can add these new tile sets in one of two ways:

(First of all unzip the tile sets to a location you'll remember)

1. Launch the TLX Planner and click the "Add Model Set" button above the tile set browser on the upper left corner. Navigate to your chosen tile set and open it.

2. You can also dump all of the sets into the planner by opening the TerrainlinX_Planner program folder, navigating to Resources and then Tile_Sets. Place your tile sets within the Tile_Sets folder and launch the TLX planner.

Updated Tile Sets Include:

* Titan: Control
* Hinterland Forests
* Hinterland Cliffs
* Lost Halls of the Dwarven Kings: Treasures and Tombs
* Mayhem Armory
* Oubliette of Peril

Hi,

I am brand new to this website and product. I'm very much a neophyte at creating terrain but am a long time wargamer. I downloaded the Terrain Planner and the Codename Titan map set. I also downloaded the TLX_tileupdates1 file. I'm trying to start very small and just get some material printed out to work with. I am experiencing some confusion however. It is my understanding that a *.tlx file must be present to incorporate into the Planner software. I've successfully updated the Planner using the CodenameTitan02Control.tlx file for instance, and now I see new tiles in the program. I do not see any *.tlx files in the initial Codename Titan download however, only *.pdf files, and for the life of me I cannot figure out if *.pdf files are loadable in the Planner software. As I'm asking noob questions here, I also can't figure out how to view the wall panels you can place either, everything looks like a floor panel to me.

Please help this poor noob!

Sounds like you've got the update working perfectly, so to answer your questions...

There are no .tlx files in the earlier releases, only the .pdf files required to build the terrain. It might be that future releases will contain the .tlx file (hint, hint).

And, no. There's no way to work out what wall panels you've chosen at the moment, you've got to do that manually.

FYI, updates to the TLX planner are normally accessed by doing a fresh download from your account on the store. This particular updated 3/31/2011 was an exception: there is a lot of work being done to the store at present, rather than delay the update until that work is finished, Denny decided to make the tile files available immediately.
