Hey gang,

As you may have noticed, we recently announced that TerraClips is now available both at GenCon and via Wyrd's storefront (linked directly from our TerraClips product pages).

This is just a heads up that Wyrd's server is experiencing sporadic outages due to excessive traffic. I know that they are working to resolve the issue but they are simultaneously fighting off the hoards at their booth at GenCon. Early reports are that their booth was quickly overwhelmed minutes after the doors opened this morning.

Sounds like my kind of chaos! Anyway, let's all do our best to give Wyrd some time to get back up on their feet. I will update you here if anything new comes my way.

The above is about convention supplies only (still good availability at the store). Good news for us, not so good news for people coming late to the convention. I know that Wyrd had limited room on the truck but would have brought the whole lot if it was doable.

Quick Q. Is today the day that Orders are shipped TO distributers, or is today the day that orders can be shipped BY distributers?

I.E. I've ordered mine through an outside company, will their stock be shipped to them today, or has it been shipped, and today is the first day they can legally ship it off?

That is a very good question, and something I'd like to know as well - if it shipped TO distributors today, I may go ahead and order my chunk through the Wyrd online store; if, on the other hand, today is the day it can ship FROM distributors, I might as well wait for the store to get it (assuming the distributor gets them the product), and may even have it in hand by the end of the day tomorrow! (well, it could happen...).

I wish I could give a better answer here but the truth is that I'm uncertain. Wyrd either shipped to distro around the time the shipment first arrived at the warehouse OR they aren't shipping out until after they return from GenCon.

Communication was a bit of an issue there but it always is come GenCon and Wyrd has been especially busy this time around. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

Has anyone received word of their pre-order shipping yet? I think that will give us our answer.

I checked my pre-order yesterday and it was maked as shipped but no tracking number so no way to know when it was actually shipped. At least it is no longer maked pre-order.

I contacted Miniature Market, who I have my preorder through, and they said today that they have not recieved a shipment as of yet and have yet to be made aware of A) when they will &/or B) what the actual 'street date' is.
So I continue to wait excitedly.

I just talked to Miniature Market as well (they're probably getting sick of us!) and was told, "your order is sitting on the shelf, and we're just waiting for the clips to come in."

I don't know why I was given different information than you, CitizenBen. Maybe the tiles just came in?

Crap in a hat. Well at least you have some good news. I picked up two of each set and 6 packs of clips. I have a D&D session coming up and want desperately to overwhelm my players with the beauty and majesty that Denny & Crew have come up with. So based on your info Spoo I'm just going to keep my digits crossed. Thanks for the good news.

I just checked with my FLGS, and from what they said (they have a site that shows them the inventory for some of their distributors), their distributors haven't received it yet, so... Guess I'll go ahead and order it from Wyrd, then.

I broke down & contacted the good folks over at Wyrd, and here is what they had to say;

As we have just returned from GenCon, we are now shipping out the products. They will reach your distributors and then retailers by the end of this week and the start of next week, which is when I would expect your orders to start being fulfilled.

So while it's not the 'best' news or exactly what I wanted to hear, it's still good news and Zee got back to me crazy fast. So it's nice to see another company like WWG that goes to such fantastic lengths to connect with it's buyers.

From what I was told by the gang that made it out to Gencon, the Wyrd booth had to get restocked with TCP on Saturday morning, so that all the people that wanted some could get them.

Outstanding news for Wyrd & WWG! As long as I get mine prior to my next D&D session I'm cool. It's exciting to know that the brisk sales and demand make the possibility of the line continuing, evolving, & flourishing very real.

Thanks for sharing the contact experience/outcome regarding the product. It definitely makes me want to see this stuff on my table even more.

MiniatureMarket seems all over the map with their replies. I inquired about my order since it said "Shipped" in its status (was just wondering when and how it had shipped so I knew when and where it would end up at my place), and the reply said it hadn't actually shipped since they didn't have any of the Terraclips products yet and they were still all on pre-order.

Seems other people are hearing different things. I think I'll give them until the 15th, and then start nagging some more.

I got the same response yesterday i.e. still on pre order. Not at all clear why they changed the status to shipped earlier this week.

Mine's said 'shipped' for a long time. Keep in mind that when it does ship, they'll email you a tracking number. I've inquired a couple times - they said they're hoping to receive TC within the next couple weeks.

The local gaming stores here are telling me that they're getting the same responses from their distributors--the distributors are saying that they were told the product shipped on Aug 1st, but they still don't have it.

Wyrd Miniatures webstore just ran out of TerraClips stock! So, if you can still hunt it down at your local gaming store or online I'd suggest doing so before the first run is completely spoken for.

Does anyone know of a resource to find local distributors that carry Terraclips? I have a time-sensitive need for them and only just obtained the money necessary for the purchase.

So what about the stores that still haven't gotten stock, and as a result still haven't gotten product to those of us that pre-ordered? If they haven't gotten stock yet are they not getting supplied from the first run? I'm (selfishly) thinking of MiniatureMarket here since that's where I pre-ordered.

How large was the first run?

I can't really get into specifics. I'll just say it was modest and a safe early investment. We'll make sure there's enough to go around though

My FLGS (where I pre-ordered) has been pestering Alliance Distributors, his distributors, and they say they've gotten absolutely no product. They are one of the largest, if not the largest distributor of games in the U.S.

So it looks like I'm SOL. And if one of the largest distributors got nothing, I'm at a loss to understand how you're making sure enough product is getting around.

Needless to say, it is frustrating after a year of waiting not to get anything from the first run.

If you'd like better informed transparency on units sent out to distributors I would encourage you to contact Wyrd Miniatures directly for more information.

The only thing I can tell you is that product was only recently sent out to distributors so they may not have it in hand yet. Unfortunately, we don't have control over product demand (and demand for this product was extremely high). We manufactured an initial run which everyone thought would be a good starting point (within safe margins). Now that we have a better understanding of the market we fully intend on supplying more product to meet demand as soon as humanly possible.
