I was browsing around the forums, and I couldn't find an answer, so I thought I'd ask myself. So I'm looking into getting a few of these new terraclips sets. The only ones I see in the store are the sewers, streets, and houses. However, some pictures I've seen have outdoor tiles with trees and rivers. Are these part of the tiles in these 3 sets? Like, are the tiles double sided with grass on the other side? Is this some other unreleased set that is previewed, or some other custom made tile? It was called "Hinterlands," and I tried searching for it, but couldn't find anything. Also, just wondering if any more of these terraclips will come out soon. I'm especially looking for a more outdoors one with forests and cliffs and stuff. |

So far, only the three TCP sets have been released - Streets, Sewers and Buildings. According to the home page, there are three more in the works, affectionately known as "Set 4", "Set 5" and "Set 6" with no additional information released yet. The outdoor TCP tiles you've seen were kitbashed tiles using the Hinterland Forest tiles applied to some properly crafted matboard. Pretty cool solution to the desire for more tile sets while the good folks at WWG are hard at work on the next releases. |

There is no TCP forest set, but WWG does have two excellent PDF (download, print, cut and assemble) wilderness terrain sets: and . These sets use WWG's TerrainLinX formay which is based on 3"x3" and 6"x6" tiles, but uses a different (and if anything, even more flexible) construction to Terraclips. The two formats work well side by side, but are not interchangeable (e.g. a TCP building could sit comfortably on TLX tiles, but the reverse wouldn't work so well. Also, the ground tiles are different thicknesses, and there is currently no way to connect the two formats together.) |

Given that I'm the one who has built them, I can tell you they are definitely custom made (easy way to tell - the forest walls still have the white separators on most of them). You can find my discussion on making the tiles . Once you have the templates set up, it's quite simple to create the custom tiles and walls (except for the forest walls - cutting out those white spaces is quite a pain without a custom punch - which I, sadly, don't have). Definitely a good way of increasing your variety while waiting for the new sets to come out. Magius out. |
