First off, I wanted to say how impressed I am with everything. I play Anima Tactics, and I thought this terrain would work fine with the fluff of the game. All of the components are stellar. However, the only big complaint I have is this. How come the side pieces don't have notches on top and the bottom? The reason this is bothersome is because it makes impossible to have a large stable structure. If I want to make a building that is 3 wall sections high, I can't. If I attach clips to the tops, it will leave an ugly gap in between the different floors. I've found a way to remedy this, and that's by placing some wall tiles upside down. Say I was building a simple 3 story tower. On the north and south sides I would have the wall sections right side up. For the east and west sides, I would pick two plain looking walls that don't look strange inverted, and I'd place them upside down. That way, I can connect clips from the bottom of the tiles to the bottom of the next story. This allows me to create very stable buildings that are taller, but why do I need to do it this way? The only other option I have is to cut out notches myself, which I don't want to do because I could mess up the pieces. I was just wondering if anyone else ran into a problem like this? I just wonder why this slipped the designers' minds, or if it was intentional. I have no other complaints with anything else though, but this is a good sized problem for me. |
