I picked up a set of buildings and a box of clips to try out TCP this weekend and I ended up with a few oddities that I have questions on: 1) The clips seem to have these little bumps on one side inside the clip itself. It only seems to create issues on the I clips. if I connect my floors with them, I get them wanting to tilt all over the place and they don't really sit flat. It's not a big deal for the floors that sit on my table, but upper floors don't like to lay flat, which makes it hard to keep them sitting where they should. 2) I can't seem to get any stairs to sit level when I want to put them close to a floor clip. Am I just limited to putting them either so they're straddling a clip or a little ways from a floor clip? 3) How should we be building the roofs? In some videos/photos, it looks like they are built with the roofs hard clipped to the attic floors and trusses, but in some it looks like they're just resting on top of the trusses. If I follow the latter way, then they tend to fall off or slide off. If I do the former, then it's a pain to open up the attic for use with minis. 4) I made an L-shaped building. With the roofs, I end up with the apex of one side of the L going one way and the apex of the other side of the L meeting with that one on the side. It ends up looking sloppy and the second roof won't say together very well. Is there something I'm missing with these roofs? Here's a picture of what I mean: |

Looking at the pictures, it looks like you put the roof together wrong the slot for the L clip should be at the apex. Also from the video, the little nubs on the bottom of the clips are actually there to hold the higher levels in place, so you no clippling required. |

That's what I was guessing, but wasn't sure since the notches were only on the bottom of the roofing tiles. From looking at the pictures when they do have the extended roofing sections it looks like the built them separately as individual roof sections. Hmm, curious. |

Sorry it took me so long to post a pic of the odd thing I see with those gator bumps on floor tiles, but here it is: Notice how the tiles won't lie flat without pressing down on them. |

I'm having the same issue with the gator bump. Every time I clip something, it's at a slight angle. It's manageable if you really secure everything together very well, but that requires a lot of clips (L-clips, in particular, run out very, very quickly since they're needed not just for corners but for attaching walls to the floor, as well). |

Usually a very subtle push in the opposite direction is all it takes. Like I said before, there is a break-in period with tiles and walls. After a few uses, the gatorbump has a place to naturally settle into the punchboard and you won't need to do a counter-bend. |
