I edited the link to show the pic. I can't wait to see what you do with the sewers set. It seems to be the set that others haven't done much with yet for some reason. |

Cool thanks, Ok, so after work and errands I got back to my build, I altered it a little and I'm putting in a second level of sewers with cat walks using the balconies. Problems so far, Not enough walls to support upper levels, and L clip shortages, but not drastic (so far on the latter) The double doors, I can't help but wonder if I'm doing something wrong, they always want to fall down. So why are the shorter on one side of the slot, is there something I'm missing. Not so much a problem as a critique, I didn't notice it so much on the sewers as I did the city but why are all the walls so different from one another, ie the art being significantly different from one wall piece to the next. Solutions so far, T-Clips, from now on I plan on using T-clips for all the outside edges of my build, they're like little handles I can use to lift them, and might even use them for multi level building Sections ie I plan on building mine in sections of 12-18 inches per side so I can remove sections easier. I'm really liking these so far. |

Here are pics of the sewer portion of the build I'm working on. You'll probably notice I have used a ton of clips in this build, mainly I wanted to see just how many clips you would go through if you did (mainly to see which ones ran out fastest, the I clips by the way already had to open my third box of them, but that is with every place that can take a clip getting one, except between sections) and if it's any more sturdy, and because of the slight warping issues due to the gator bumps. |

I bought 1 for each set, and used a ton on the sewers, with streets and building I went more conservative with my clips which also sped up how quick they were to put together. I have had to open all three sets far due to running low on I clips. |

My first build is now complete. I had wanted to add a few more floors and more balconies, particularly Along the upper street an outside the arch ways in the alley, but I ran out of clips. I only had 1 T clip left, but that is with clipping every available slot on the sewers. Here are the pics. What did I learn, lots. 1: The ramps do not play nicely with walls. 2: Build to support the center of upper floor sections instead of edges, other wise you wind up with both sections trying to support themselves with same wall. 3: Don't over use clips where you don't need too. 4: Little peek holes are kind of cool so don't waste walls where you don't need, or use arches along the outside edges of you overall build. 5: Build your streets and building ground floors first, then build up (upper stories) or down (basements and sewers) next. Well time to tear it apart and start my next build. I might build a similar build for my next, but alter it so that ramps aren't next to walls and obviously not to use so many clips in the sewers. |

Very nice, man! I'm happy to see that just 1 box of each set will build that much. It looks like you could have put in even more for the buildings 'cuz I know I was amazed how much was included in that box. |

Okay, so before I tore down my previous build I took some pics of my leftover floors and walls, all clips were used (3 boxes) along with all roof bits, except the gable bits. Also added were pictures of each section, like I said in my last post, next time I won't concentrate on getting walls at the edges of these, although perpendicular to the edge would work great. For giggles and to illustrate the sturdiness of the sections I stacked all the sections up haphazardly and snapped a few shots. The sad thing is I kind of wanted to run a game on it, but it did inspire me on how I might be able to get these to work with my next game in sharn (I had been fretting about not having enough building tiles), but that is a build for another day. |
