Post subject: | First Build - single box of Buildings and clips |
Hey guys. This will be my first post on the site, but I have been a fan of the work here at WWG since I first discovered the site several months ago. The papercraft terrain is really cool, but seems very labor-intensive. That's why I pre-ordered Buildings and, lo and behold, it finally arrived on Friday. This was my first build with the set. My friend and I decided to just make one big building to test out the limits of the set. I still had quite a few balcony, roof and a few floor pieces left, but walls were used almost all up. Hope you guys enjoy the design (Please excuse the 40k figures, as they were the first ones I could find. I put them in the shots for scale reference). Also, I found that the L-clips went fast. I will definitely need to get another 2 boxes of clips when I buy my next set (You'll see T-clips sticking out in places where I could really have used an L-clip). These are 2 exterior shots. It is mostly a 2 level building, but there is a small balcony on one wing that is 3 stories up. |

These are 2 shots of the second story. I really like the idea of having multiple levels that can have indoor and outdoor areas. It will hopefully give the gameplay a good variety of danger (We'll find out soon, as I haven't gamed on it yet.). |

These 2 are the lower (and largest) level. I really like the addition of modular doors into the set. This last one is just a close up of what the balcony-interior transition to show a more close-up shot of the quality of the set. All in all, I'm very stoked to try this out in a game. You guys did a great job. I also heard that GenCon went really well. I asked my local Comic shop if they were going to carry Terraclips (very small local store with a small, but devoted customer base) and they said that I was the third person to ask them about it and that we had piqued their interest and that they are going to contact their distributor. Congratulations on the product guys. |

Thanks for sharing meetch and welcome to the forums! This is a great little build, I really like the layout. Please don't hesitate to show off more designs as you make them (game night pics are always a bonus!). We really want to encourage layout sharing amongst users, as one of the most challenging aspects of TerraClips seems to be finding a good source of starting point inspiration. Best wishes and thanks again. |

Great build - I'm trying a similar layout and that gave me some good ideas. |
