Can anyone post a pic of an i clip and a dnd tiles from a side view? just to know if they can be used together.... i fear D&D tiles are a bit too thick.... |

without professional equipment it's hard to make a photo which shows how the clips wind up. the flash kills most of the pic. the D&D -Tiles are 2mm thick. (TCP are 1.7 ?!?) if you put them together with clips, they will go up and down like waves. you have to be careful not to brake the clip, although they are very sturdy. the tiles suffer from the use of the clips It's not only a problems with the clips, but with the texture of the D&D Tiles. They are for miniature gaiming, not for atmospheric layouts. they don't fit into the TCP Universe. And they are definitely 2D Tiles. You could use them as walls, but the result would be disappointing. to answer your question: yes, they can be used together and you won't like it |

I found one other issue when trying to mix WotC Dungeon Tiles with TCP and that is the clips will push the DT out of grid alignment. Not much, but it adds up. My solution is to construct some custom tiles (like have been mentioned in other threads) with a clip end on one side only. These tiles will be paired up with TCP tiles on the clip side and DT on the non-clip side. I think this will keep everything spaced correctly. I'll get some pics up once we've made the tiles. Overall, mixing the 3D and 2D stuff only worked when the TCP building floors weren't clipped to the building walls, which isn't too ideal. |
