Time-scout: I'm not sure how many sets were used to be honest, I have 4 buildings, 2 streets, 2 sewers and 4 sets of clips. All of the clips were used and probably 2 buildings, 1 streets and 1 sewers. That's a kinda conservative estimate though, I was running low on certain walls.
Morganm: I didn't plan it out ahead of time so it took probably around four hours to set the whole thing up. I made changes as I went which required me to redo most of the set. Best takeaway I have is plan it out ahead of time, especially if you have a big build in mind. Won't matter as much for a small house, adding stuff on shouldn't be too hard but a nearly 3' by 3' structure is hard to make changes to.
No one noticed the clips, they were really blown away by the build. That's not to say there isn't room for improvement, the clips can make it hard for terrain or miniatures to stand on a square and I'd like it if it was harder to see.
Stability: the two top levels are hard clipped together and have double height walls that I faked up to give it some support all around the back end and underneath the build. The bottom level and walls were a separate piece. Someone hit the table hard once and three pillars fell over but that's it so it seemed pretty stable.
Important things I learned (read this if you read nothing else)
Cardstock is mostly rigid but the layers of cardstock can come apart sometimes. Basically it seems like the cardstock is like 20 layers of paper glued together and sometimes the edges can fray. I've used some superglue to soak into the layers when this happens and it works well.
Most importantly though be very careful with any walls that have archways or doors. These are the most fragile, I've had one rip in half already (fixed it with crazy glue) and nearly all of them are bent in the middle. When you are firmly pushing together a wall segment that has an archway or a door make sure to push from the side of the doorframe or side of the arch. Never push a wall segment with a door or an archway from either side, it will just bend those walls.
