That was a lot more intense than I expected - with the murders taking place under a strobe - red silk used for sprays of blood. Not at all what I expected - very glad that I got to see it, this was only the second performance, but also the last. It deserves a larger venue. The Auld Grump |

Just went with a college friend of mine to see "The Conjuring". Not normally the type of film I'd go see in a theatre, but, surprisingly, I enjoyed it! More Hitchcock suspense than gore, but with the BAM! shock images. I also enjoyed the crowd reactions... [Eek, Oh!] |

Tomorrow I am meeting my wife's father for the first time. So is she. The Auld Grump - more importantly, she is meeting her paternal grandmother for the first time - who has remained in contact with her mum, even after her son and Megan's mum were divorced. |

Well, I didn't hate him as much as I expected. He just seemed kind of defeated by life - his mother is recovering from having a foot and a half of intestine removed - to get rid of cancer, and is still undergoing treatment. But... the reason that Megan's mum broke up with him was that he hit her while she was pregnant with Megan. When Megan's mum and father were in the same room, even I could read the tension. Thirty plus years later, and both are still carrying a lot of anger. Now I need to get ready for my wife's Eberron game - which I have been enjoying the heck out of! We had just airdropped out of an airship under fire into the Mournlands when last week's game wrapped - as this huge floating thing came drifting around the corner of a building. The Auld Grump |

Always awesome to hear others running Eberron games! I would love to hear all about it! As for that monster, it is amazing! I think I may need to use it in my current Eberron game! Any info on the mini or the monster would be great! |

The mini is part of the Mantic Vanguard line - Megan and I backed the Kickstarter, and it will be a while until the minis are available I am kind of expecting we will be meeting several of the critters in that set, as kytonic experiments. We are also getting a pretty awesome looking giant for the Vanguard game - About eight inches tall, which makes him forty feet, in scale. The Auld Grump |
