I think the only time me and Rabid came at odds was that same pulp thread. I was trying to figure out exactly WHAT he meant by PULP since PULP is defined so differently depending on what era you are looking at. Since I initially thought everyone was misconstruing what he was trying to say.

However, when I tried to explain that pulp is not easily defined, it was like there was only ONE definition of the word and that was it. I'm the bad guy for trying to understand the issue. So I gave up after awhile.

The language barrier is only part of the problem, and it goes both ways. I did not see a personal attack in the writing of Sacretis as much as I saw him trying to illustrate why people grind their teeth when reading your posts, Rabid. I think we need to come to some sort of impasse here - when someone criticizes something, it's not always a PERSONAL attack. It's mostly pointing out something in the hopes that either it's explained in better detail to correct the criticism, or that the poster understands the problem and adapts to the criticism.

I think you read too much into some posts, Rabid. Calm down, and just understand that when a suggestion is made or a comment is given, that it is not always aimed at trying to break you down or make you feel bad. Sometimes it's just a general suggestion aimed at EVERYONE and not just you.

My only other comment is the one I give to everyone I meet on the Internet -

{sarcasm} Internet, serious business {/sarcasm} meaning never take anything said on the Internet at face value because it's usually only words typed by a faceless persona on the other end of the line.

Honestly, I very much agree with Rastl. Rabidfox, as this thread progresses, you're making yourself look worse and worse.

Look, the reason that some people here are attacking you (e.g. Sacretis) is because of the way you respond to posts you disagree with. It's already been said, but you switch to an obviously adversarial tone.

For example, Rabidfox, repeatedly using someone's name is not how people usually talk to one another, is it Rabidfox? It reads like I'm lecturing you, doesn't it, Rabidfox.

Plus, you must be doing this on purpose, since many of your posts are not this way.

I was basically annoyed at some of your posts. Annoyed enough to respond to them in a light I knew would draw out some long, verbose response in which you would still take no responsibility. Maybe I am thin-skinned (Though the reality is quite different). I think It's just that I have a low tolerance for... Never mind. You're right...We're all wrong. You've never said anything offensive. Guys, you're not helping things here. He's not listening when you argue back at him, and you're not benefitting the community by accepting his invitation to a fight.


As for you, Rabidfox...I would personally like to ask that you focus your time and energy posting on the topics of cardstock modeling, and put less effort into trying to get justifications, validation, or cause a shift in attitudes across the forum. By and large, most folks here are easy to get along with and willing to help, but they'll also (all too easily) accept an invitation to pick a fight.


General advice to all...if you don't care for a suggestion offered to you, just ignore it. There's nothing to gain, and a civil forum to lose, by responding to it.
