I like a number of them, and could actually use about 2-3 of the multi armed demon in my current D&D game. I'm just really disapointed in the timing of the releases on these things... I doubt it will be out by the time i need it, they are just comming out in tiny trickles of minis. Unless they up the number in the releses, or frequency half of those won't be out till the middle of 2008...

Some one wake me in 2009 when they might get around to the figures i am interested in...

I still find this a BS cop out, Is the really a new company? They use the same logo for the on site at Reaper store. Did they really make a brand new staffed company or are reaper people jsut splitting thier time. Unless they hired new people, ie no one from the current staff at Reaper, or who still have duties at Reape (I mean i don't care if they shift people over from one campany to the other), but if they are still getting a Reaper Paycheck, who are they kidding. LE never got the attention or budget as any other line did before so if Reaper/Asylum people are splitting thier attention, does anyone really believe the new, so far largely unproven, line will get the bulk of that employees time and attention? Nope.
Asylum and the LE line will get short changed, again, unless it really is a whole new company with a dedicated staff, that have no other ties to Reaper. Which I don't believe they did.

This is likely just a paper company to have a split budget so nothing bad will happen to Reaper, when it again flounders becuase it isn't getting any attention.

Also find it interesting there is more talk on this website then on the Reapers forum.
And they can't even get the webpage for it up when they make the announcemtn, (points to no new staff, it's jsut reaper people, still not putting in any time to LE.) Same shoddy management.

Actually, I can understand why, even with the current management, spinning LE off into its own company would make sense.

Reaper currently has several lines that are already making money. Attempting to start up a new line, and one which won't see profits for months, if not a year and more, is vastly more difficult if you are competing for time and attention in a company that already has several profitable lines.

Designers, mold makers, et al can remain doing double duty - but they really need some full time management attention that just is not likely as part of the larger company. (Large being a comparative term - much like WotC is a huge RPG company, but is a drop in the bucket for Hasbro.)

Especially since it seems that they have to sit on their actual manufacturer in order to get anything approaching decent quality. While the paint jobs are better (in my not so humble opinion) than what WotC has been coming out with for prepainted minis they still are not all that good. I have picked up a few on the grounds that a plastic Purple Worm is cheaper than a metal one... but there was no way I was keeping those paint jobs.

I can more than understand that - but I am more interested in their P65 releases.

I had forgotten how much better primer sticks to lead than it does to pewter. Dang, it's nice to have some figures with heft again!

Meh - Customs.

Take a look around and see how often a delay in Customs occurs, it is one of the things that I really don't like about imported games. It has been much worse since 9-11. And it goes both ways, incoming and outgoing. And let us hope that the manufacturer didn't use lead paint.

From before 9-11 I seem to recall an entire shipment of foodstuffs being destroyed because one of the cases contained... haggis!
