Darksword Miniatures, known for doing Larry Elmore and Game of Throne minis (as well as other fantasy figures), is running a very expensive $250/$275 diorama kickstarter of a well known piece of Larry's artwork -

There is mention of stretch goals, but nothing revealed so far (they have raised $16k of their $3k goal).

Yeah, with not one stretch goal listed, a single (very sweet model, mind you) is not worth the investment. Why are these people dropping 250 on a dragon model?

A revelation that I made while reading the kick starter comments is to put a specific color under each PC and then give them another of the same color to place in front of themselves. Then all status effects go in front of them instead of cluttering the board.

My Zombicide extras FINALLY arrived. After all that, my shirt came as an XL and I need an L. I have spent literally months hassling with them. It has been ridiculous. I am tempted to just give up on it and settle with the XL.

In a more cultural vein, there are only 6 days left for the "Once Upon a Midnight" project - a cooperative effort between the Goth Duet of "Valentine Wolf" and artist Jacob Wenzka.

"A Victorian Chamber Metal score and accompanying graphic novel exploring the curious afterlife of Edgar Allan Poe" - "A multimedia creation from Sarah Black and Braxton Ballew (Valentine Wolfe) with all new music for voice, double bass, and electronics, along with original artwork and an original narrative, all based on the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe. The story is a reimagining of Poe's work, and re-interprets his imaginative fiction as if it were an actual account of his day-to-day reality. "

They are already funded. You should check out their composition for "Annabel Lee" for sheer enjoyment even if you don't choose to help sponsor it. (But you'll probably want to after hearing it!) CD and graphic novel - good combo!

I got my XXL shirt...and it fits like an XL at BEST. So disappointed.

You make it rather difficult to stay out of this one. I was in at some point and dropped it realizing that I don't currently play any games that they could be used in. At this point, I have stayed away long enough that it is confusing as to what level gets what. I am going to try and stay away from looking into it tonight, but I might succumb to temptation...

Got home tonight, and there was a nice big box filled with plastic miniatures!

Fast 'Get 'em on the table' paint jobs, not 'save for future generations' paint jobs.

First impressions....

The resin plastic that they use is.... different - does not hold detail as well as Finecast at its best, but a whole lot better than Finecast at its average.

The Gargoyles have a lot of parts - Wings and tail, Head, Torso, Legs and base. Lot of topless female 'goyles.
