Click on my images for a bigger version... The reason they give away the software is that they make money from selling you models. Daz is a model company... not a software company. And the models are like Booze... you don't need much, but it can be kinda hard to stop the party. If you think you may hit the sauce here... sign up for one month of Platinum service and save yourself some money. Fitting Clothes, Posing Models, and Lighting can be quite difficult and it takes practice. Alas my PC can't handle many of the more complex render engines. (http://preta3d.com/) But I'm getting a monster PC in a few days. To render an image you need a basic setting... Often a background photo... A model.. Some clothes and or props. (Daz 4 includes a few basics to get started.) Take this little ditty... An Unwanted Duty (aka Bondage Cleric Chick) Model: Genesis (comes with Daz 4) Model: Aven Morph Skin: Avalon (Its very pale.) Clothes: Novariens Holy (Autofitted to Genesis) Set: Reparation Leaves: Blowing Wind Tool http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/blow ... ?item=4729 Lighting: This is one of a few that I've done IBL (Image Based Lighting) Camera: Depth Perspective was used. Background photo... just something I found on the internet. There are some great tutorials on Greywulf's site; http://greywulf.net/2012/02/and-stay-out/ Here's a Render I did for my Daughter's Character. Its a Cleric of Sarenrae. This is another image that I was quite happy with (Its a Goblin talking to a drake deep in the forest); |

I picked up their software a while ago and have been avoiding drinking to heavily, I know it'll be just like crack and I'll spend lots on the models!

Thanks, just wish I got a bigger hd drive for the laptop instead of the Bluray drive I've flushed alot of stuff from my DA account but this is my latest play Both took 30mins to pose (including learning how to use the software and finding the models) |

Downloading now I "should" be able to run the reality engine (my pc is built for video editing and rendering is very cpu intensive in that i assume its the renders and calculations in its engine that makes it so cpu heavy aswell) ill put some images up when i get chance to play with it and see what i can do

I'm running a duel core 2 Ghz +3GB ram on a laptop, I have another 2 monts till I get the 2,53 GHZ duel core and 8 gig upgrade Yes I'd probubly get a better lappy for the price but my girl hear has served me fine but Ikeep maxing out the ram in photoprocessing! |

This is a newer render. It took 6GB of ram and 15 minutes to render using 3Dlight. The set, the clothes and the skins are all resource intense. |

Bitches puleease! You don't know what addictive is! My wife is starting to complain about my 'elf boots' budget. 2 weeks of work 31 hour render... I had to stuff lights in his mouth... (and he put up a fight) Subtle shades of dark. 4 hours to set up 8 hours to render. Ditto NSFW. ish 4 hours of playing with texture to get them to work in the render engine. |

The swamp creature / apocalypse girl is amazing. One question, though...when looking at it a certain way, it almost seems as if the out-of-focus green background is closer than the walls. Is it just my crazy eyes? |
