I was wondering about something. There is no doubt that WWG products are great for skirmish miniature battles, for example: Mage Knights, Mordhiem, Heroclixs, etc. However, I was wondering how flexible the sets are for RPG gaming. I tend to use modules. Can WWG products conform to most module descriptions and layouts? Or do you tend to create adventures and layouts to fit the attributes of the models? If the former, what sort of challenges did you come across; if the latter, how did the sets inspire your adventure? |

Take a look at the maps in the first Witchfire Trilogy adventure - The Longest night. Take a look at Gothic Realms. Smile. As for the Maiden... the day I can't find a use for a sailing ship in an RPG in any non SF setting is the day I hang up my screen, even in Modern... Folks may wonder why the ship is captained by a guy named Van Derdecken, but... The Auld Grump, I'm the only tar what ever jumped ship from Van Derdecken's crew, and that's about the strangest thing, that ever a man can do... |

Our group likes to use the props from WW. My DM has a ton of Dwarven Forge walls, but we still end up with the occasional Dungeon Works hallway or what have you. But the props were received very well, and continue to see a lot of use. I hope to get them slowly more and more into WW, until we use it all the time. Streets of Himmelveil should be the breaking point for them, as we have nothing else like it right now! |

ARENA WORKS The pieces I have completed have been used for games of FRAG. planned uses :CyborGladiators & CompactCombat CASTLEWORKS ULTIMATE Most of this was going to be used for Mordheim & Warhammer40k. This game has been put on hold till I can manage to rekindle my others gaming friends into breaking out their minis collecting dust. CHUNKY DUNGEONS & DungeonWorks Classic Were originally going to be used for Warhammer Quest games. But my friend has managed to misplace his set. 8O So now, thanks to Nomadic, we are going to use alot of props from DW:Classic for HeroQuest games. And if all goes well, we will probably use Chunky D for custom adventures in HeroQuest too. I plan on using Chunky D for Wiz-War as soon as I get the tiling and cards printed. ______ As soon as Denny gets the STORE up and running. I'll be making a large pruchase: Castleworks Interiors For both a modified UnrealTornament'ish FRAG, CompactCombat(Microtectix) and Firefly Games - CyborGladiators. And alot of the PROPS will be used for HeroQuest games. Gothic Realms ...more for above! I'd almost swear Denny had HeroQuest and Warhammer Quest in mind when he made this and CastleWorks Interiors. First Light For Spacehulk and The Vesuvious Incident(though I will probably scale the entire set down to 15mm). And Space Crusades if I can find a "good" used copy that won't cost me a weeks pay. ![]() UrbanMahem WILL be used for Supersystem battles. FRAG UrbanWar & possibly NecroMunda. And I have plans for using the street tiles and props for a 1/110th scale FormulaDe inspired StreetRaceing game. Escape from Monster Island looks like it will do well with this set also. I would also really like to use it for the RPG All Flesh Must Be Eaten. I am on the verge of purchasing that as soon as I here some comments about it. -Floyd ps. Someone want to help me assemble all the sets... I never seem to have enough time to do it? Thanks! |

I use them almost exclusively for roleplaying. Hence Chunky Dungeon is the one I use most often. Yes I know about the scale conversion, I just define 1.5" as 5 ft. The miniature manufacturers are never to scale (all the female models would fall over forward if they were) so I don't worry about it. --Chris |
