Oh. My. Zergs. After several months of no cardstock modelling, I went to buy some new supplies to take my first stab at TLX. WalMart seems to have stopped carrying cardstock. OfficeMax used to sell it for about $6 a pack... $10 today. $14 at Office Depot. Did this stuff just go through the roof or what? |

Thats been the price as long as I've been building, actually some of the office stores I checked wanted $20. I usually buy at walmart, but I haven't needed any in months. So no idea if my location still has it. I suppose I'll see if I can get it cheaper online when I need more. |

Stagflation, ladies and gentlemen. The markets have been trying to hide it somewhat by lowering quantity instead of raising price, but that's no longer working... |

Office World is an online supplier with quick service, usually within two days of placing the order depending on where you are. Input tagboard in the first search box Pacon tagboard PAC5211 by Pacon Heavyweight Tagboard, 12 x 9, White, 100/Pack @ $6.49/PK is close to 252 gsm and might not go through the printer correctly. My Canon printer has no trouble. PAC5281 by Pacon Medium Weight Tagboard, 12 x 9, White, 100/Pack @ $5.29/PK is close to 65# / 177 gsm cardstock. I trim the width to fit through the printer. The leftover strips can be used in a variety of ways. The last time I was in Sam's Club there was a pack of 250 sheets of Georgia Pacific 110# cardstock for around $8. |

I stocked up on matte photo paper around Christmas time (maybe a little later). I will not be going back if I can help it. |

I tried matte photo paper, I found it prone to flaking and scratching. And it was also too thin. Any issues with what you use so far? What brand, quantity, cost? I don't have a sam's club membership. I wonder if costco stocks it at a similar price. |

I have only ever used "Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte" and have none of the issues that you suggest. |

I finally broke down and bought cardstock. And a new printer. My wife is out of town. I hope to get some building going on! |
