So my wife isn't a gamer (and has never given of a shot) we are however huge fans of the show Supernatural. When they first released the RPG I joked that I was going to buy it and make her play it. I never ended up following through with it but she was willing to at least humor the idea. A recent post about Hunter: The Vigil got me thinking about it again but left me with a dilemma, which system to use. I don't have experience with either system but have played enough that it shouldn't be a problem for me. So which would you recommend? I'd like it to be fairly easy to learn, preferably with optional layers of complexity. I have All Flesh Must Be Eaten so I've also considered using Unisystem but am focusing on the other two because one is official and the other is White Wolf which I've always wanted to try. Thanks in advance. |

I loved the original WW stuff, and used to play it regularly (this includes Hunter: The Reckoning). Hunter: The Vigil, is the newer version (set in the nWoD iteration of the universe), and I have not tried it yet. However, I have found WoD's rules to be (or become) complex, while the Cortex system seems much more straightforward. Did you ever get a chance to try either? Did you get your wife to play? |
