I am too lazy to find a link right now, but Mantic has Mummies up for pre-order. I will admit, I was pretty excited! I love me some Egyptian themed models, and I am sorely lacking in the Mummy department. Then I saw the pics. Very disappointing. They look more like the Ethereals from World of Warcraft, nothing Egyptian about them at all except the wrappings... |

Heh - I think that the Mantic Mummies make good Wights.... They were, I think, trying for a compromise that would not look too bad when mixed in with a Transylvanian Undead army. Unfortunately... what looks good with troops from the Land Between The Forests does not look good next to pyramids and the Sphinx. For Egyptian style mummies... yeah, Reaper Bones is not a bad start.  The Auld Grump |
