Maybe I read it wrong, but for $35 you get 5 trees?!? $7 per tree sounds insane. Did I just read it wrong?

yep... 6.80 per tree... and it has a plastic case to store them in (dollar store special, so I'm guessing 1 buck)

this is the way I look at it

how long will it take me (without a robo-cutter) to make these? what.. maybe 4 hours to make all 5?

Questions I ask myself:

1) will they look that nice? (I apparently suck at cutting, an one bad cut on that base and the tree may not come out right at all....)

2) How much do I need to pay for ink and nice paper

3) if one gets messed up while I'm working on it (come on, its me.. one will) how much time will I lose? (if HE sends me one that is damaged I can ask for a new one.)

4) at 4 hours its "cost" being at 8.75 an hour... I can use that time to work on a project at my office or have fun with my kids.. one makes me more per hour and the other is priceless....

Both of his Kickstarters are horribly presented, but he DOES have some clever designs there. I can't tell how his floor tiles are supposed to fit together with those notches, though.

he is making enough that it looks like he is contacting PlasticPrinters.com to print the sheets on Teslin plastic and then using a laser CNC to do the cutting.

kind of wish he had some generic trees as well (not with standing bases) I think I would pick up a few of those as well.
