So, is anyone playing Frostgrave? Is anyone using WWG terrain for it? Thoughts? Ideas? |

I've taken a gander at the rules for it. As with anything, there are things I like and things I dislike about it. I haven't played it, though. Like: The rules are miniature and base agnostic, so you can use anything in your collection to represent the figures. The rules are logical and straightforward, with a minimum of special exceptions. This is good in that it makes the game much easier to learn and will make it more streamlined to play. The rules cover a decent array of non-combat checks, so you can use it to run non-kill them all scenarios without having to kludge the rules about. Dislike: There's not a lot of variety in the generic units, and nearly no variety class to class. Wizards are better, in that they at least start with a variety of spells, but I don't like that every wizard has an identical statline starting out (granted, this changes after the first few games in a campaign, but I would like to see some character right from the start). Overall, it looks interesting and is definitely something I want to give a try, but I think I prefer SuperSystem for my generic miniatures system. |

I'm getting it for Christmas. I already have plenty of miniatures except for a decent apprentice. I'm thinking of busting out CWU. ![]() |

I quite like the Cultists that they have coming out - and the sprues for the Soldiers are nice, generic adventurer types, in plastic, but could really, really benefit from more poseability. The Auld Grump |
