Anyone get into this yet? had a promo running, so I bought myself a Christmas present! It will be delivered today. I am looking forward to using it! I have some experience with 3D modeling but I will be starting with some existing models and looking forward to honing my skills. |

I've played with it some, and it's definitely a very intriguing system. I've not had the best luck in getting successful prints out, but it's definitely a great technology that people should keep their eye on (especially for Terrain and, once the resolution gets better, miniatures). |

I'm currently trying to get one I built myself to work. Being new to the whole thing means a lot of self education happening. I'm sure I will shout from the mountain tops when I get it going. |

I would love one for simple terrain (like the flat 2"x2" Dwarven Forge floor pieces, maybe straight walls and corners - three pieces that are compatible for each terrain type would make for varied and large layouts). |

The first thing I printed - 2 2x2 LEGO-style bricks. One in ultra low quality (47min to print) one in ultra high quality (50 micron - 2hrs). The difference is noticeable. The creator of the model I printed made the pegs just a tad too small, but other than that, they are pretty spot on. |

Update: switched to a 1x1 tile. Had an issue with the 2x2 that I need to troubleshoot. 1x1 seems to be working okay. |

The Fat Dragon forums have become all but unreadable for me since Tom got into 3D printing, which was a real shame because I'd been looking more and more to FD to fill gaps in my WWG terrain. ![]() |

Pretty much. I mean, it's awesome from a general POV that people are excited about their new hobbies! I'm just personally annoyed because it WAS a paper crafting website, and now it's all 3D printing for the recent discussions. |
