You beat me to it! I meant to post earlier when I picked it up, but life got in the way. Excellent deal! |

I saw this linked on Facebook earlier today and meant to click on it. The deal is even better than I thought. I will have to think about what I plan to do here. A purchase is a definite. The $25 pricepoint is tempting. Anyone care to breakdown the pros and cons of the three tiers? |

Alright, I caved. Beginner Box purchased (pledged for? donated for?). Shipping paid for. Will wait on downloads until the site traffic dies down. Shipping was just under $13 to ship to AZ. |

Holy crap! There were something like 85 downloads from the $25 purchase + <$13 shipping!!!! That is crazy! |

Yep, although I do not play RPGs, I popped for the Beginner Box. Shipping was $12.87 USD. Gotta wait to download any of those electronic files. Super heavy traffic on the Paizo servers. Probably thousands of folks from around the world hammering that site at the same time for downloads. ![]() |

The timing is... suspicious.... My good lady and I had each just bought the $50 Kindle Fire for ourselves... and the PDFs work just fine with the $50 Fire.... The Auld Grump |

Wow. They've sold 55,000 bundles to date. That's a heck of a deal they're giving. Since it's almost all digital products, it doesn't cost Paizo all that much, so this is a really good strategy for them. Honestly, they should have done this back before 5th edition came out--just to try to drive more gamers to try out their system. |

They are waiting for another printing of the Beginner Box (Physical Copy) so they can fill all of the payments of $25.00+ that were made. Wait time is until around May for them to be shipped out. Betcha they were very surprised at the result of offering that, even with the shipping cost for some people. It will be a pleasant surprise when it shows up. I have looked over the PDFs. Interesting stuff. ![]() |

69,000+ pledges, under two days to go. Then their servers will be released from under the ever growing pile of goblins that they are currently buried under. So, anyone else join the goblin pileup? The Auld Grump |

I already have all of it in PDF form, so I did not. But some of my friends did. One guy to get it all for his son who is starting to play Pathfinder. And one to use it as a giveaway at an upcoming PFS-only convention later this year. |

I was thinking about it, not being an owner of anything Pathfinder related... Really thinking about it... But I don't enjoy PDFs. I like tangible things. Just the other day I coincidentally found someone about 30 minutes from my work selling 8 Pathfinder hardcovers for $10 each: Core Rulebook, Bestiary, GameMastery Guide, Advanced Player's Guide, Ultimate Equipment, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat, Ultimate Campaign. The Core Rulebook was well used, but the spine is still intact. Everything else may have never been cracked open... I opted to go that route - I'm far more likely to at least cozy up with my kids and read through the source books than I am likely to swipe through a PDF on any electronic screen. |

Pathfinder is my current favorite major game (with one weekly game). I only have a couple of hardcovers, most of the rest in PDFs already. An extremely tight budget is tipping the scales to not taking advantage of this. |

This has caused me to also consider backing the Petersen Games Mythos Kickstarter... |

While I was there, I picked up the Star Wars II Humble Bundle.... Downloaded the LEGO Star Wars game... which is stupidly fun.... Less than a day left on it, but well worth the tenner. The Auld Grump - if only I could knock Jar Jar into little brightly colored bricks.... |

I just talked myself into pledging a dollar on the Pathfinder Comics Bundle - not for the comics, but the maps. *ANY Pledge* - Junk Beach Map - Shankshack Map - Under Pauper's Graves Map - The Spider Stones Map - The Bloodfang Goblins Map - Issandra's Shrine Map - Ruined Shrine Dynamite Map - Pilgrim's Rest Map - The Old Fang Map - Steelwhisker's Emporium Map *$12.03 Pledge* - Comic Store Invasion (A comic books store in Pathfinder?...) - Strifehold Dynamite Map - Jeggare Museum Workshop Map - House Of Pain Dynamite Exclusive Battle Map - Serpent's Run Dynamite Exclusive Battle Map - Ugolthol Ambush Map *$15 Pledge* - Feast Halls - Infernal Sanctuary - Sczarni Wagon Map - Private Garden Map - Akoni's Grove Map - Absolom Alley Map - Records Hall Map - Barracks Map Looks like at least some (all?) of the maps are 16x10 inches, counting off the squares. I don't know if I will ever get around to reading the comics, but for a buck... ten maps... I can live with that. The Auld Grump |
