I use DJ extensively with WWG, and have for a few months now. I often use DJ to create base maps, then use WWG stuff on top of it. The combination looks fantastic. I'm working on a large scale village map right now that combines DJ maps with WWG, some MTX, WoTC and even some PL and WK terrain into a giant village (mostly WWG, of course). I also use DJ for interior sets of buildings and such. I know a lot of people like the interiors a la CWU, but I like the simple versions of the towers/buildings. Then, when players move inside, I have seperate maps (usually at 1.5", just for the extra room) that detail the interiors. Castles and Keeps and Pubs and Inns are invaluable for these kinds of maps. I haven't posted any pics from DJ stuff because their license agreement is a bit restrictive (and I didn't want the DJ police coming after me) - and even when I asked a specific question on their board about pics and usage of printed out maps (non-digital, but actual in-game maps with figures, 3D terrain and the like), I couldn't get an official answer. I don't think there are specific restrictions regarding posting pictures of the final product, as long as they are not in reproducable form. I've been waiting for DJ to release their modern set since they announced it. It was originally supposed to be released in November. They now say May. We'll see. I ain't holding my breath. Johhnygs would be apoplectic over their slipped release dates if he was a DJ user. Probably twitch his head right off his shoulders! ![]() |

The modern tiles I see being worked on for Dundjinni are damn nice. And I played with a demo version of DJ and picked up some tiles made with it. And you are right, WWG props really make the combination shine. I picked up those flats and was suprised and kind of confused at what exactly one was to do with a flat 2d copter. But all in all a nice set. I might have to pick up said Skirmish just to have the set. I'm sure I'll need as many standees for rogue military groups as i can get my hands on. Since I've picked up SW and am using it(game mechanics) & AFMBE(for source material) in my Zombie campaign.(Plus the ST:Zombie Run). Robby - Thanks BTW for recommending SW systme so vahemently this past year. Since I just really got my interest rekindled in RPG, this is the perfect system. (I had given up RPG for mostly tabletoip skirmish.) SW is a nice mix & I can easily convert to any setting needed. -Floyd |
