There's Doom, which looks like unintentional comedy gold (though the 1st person perspective cinematography looks like it will convey a nice oppressive feel). Saw II, which I'm very interestred in, since the first was so damn good! Final Fantasy: Advent Children... *drool* Night Watch, the first of a Russian Horror/Fantasy Trilogy looks awesome, too! |

Advent Children is indeed god-like. Having watched it "pure", I can only shudder to think how the english dub will ruin it (but that's another topic entirely and one we've beaten to death). Hmmmm.... well, you've covered most of what's on my radar in the next couple years. Of notable absence is Superman returns and the live action Transformers movie being directed by Micheal Bay (cue bombs!!). Of the former I'm hearing good things but admittedly they're from people I know in the comics industry (one of whom actually draws Superman) so the bias is no doubt somewhat heavy. Of the latter I expect nothing but a complete disaster. In true Bay fashion, that film will itself be a bomb out of all proportion. |

Although this isn't in the near future, i'm very excited about the Halo movie that's in the works. The fact that they have Peter Jackson as the Executive Producer and Weta is doing the covenant is enough to make me giggle with glee. Also, although I haven't seen much about it, i'm hoping Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is as good as the first one. |

Y'all forgot MirrorMask, which I think is in limited release already. It is written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Dave McKean. |

So mcuh like it that the production company were successfully sued just before it was released. I also liked it. Hopefully the second one will be even better. |

Has anybody else seen anything about this movie, it caught my eye. This is what I thought the fighting scenes in Aeon Flux should have looked like, and I was sorely disappointed. While I liked Aeon Flux I was completely baffled that they chose cheesy looking wire work to pull of the fights. This one I kinda want to see, the main character is a lot like one I played awhile back, a cybernetic ninja from Rifts Japan who was being hunted for very similiar reasons ![]() ![]() |
